At Dunkeld Consolidated School we follow the Victorian Essential Learning Standards (VELS) set out by the Board of Studies as the basis for our program development.

VELS framework

The VELS framework sets out:

·         6 Disciplines – The Arts, English, Humanities, LOTE, Mathematics and Science

·         4 Physical Personal and Social Learning Areas – Health and Phys Ed, Interpersonal Development, Personal Learning and Civics and Citizenship, and

·         4 Areas of Interdisciplinary Learning – Communication, Design Creativity and Technology, Information and Communications Technology and Thinking Processes
